Dhanush visits his ancestral temple in Theni ahead of 'Raayan' release

Actor Dhanush is gearing up for the release of his next film ‘Raayan’ on July 26. Ahead of the release, the actor, along with his son, visited their ancestral temple in the Theni district of Tamil Nadu.

On July 23, Dhanush took to his Instagram account to share a picture in which he can be seen sitting peacefully in the mandap of his ancestral temple. The peaceful and forested backdrop gave fresh energy to the actor. While sharing the photo, he wrote, “Here is the earth that lies wide, Gave it for you too, Here All the Gods that are there, Your own too... Staying connected to your roots is peace.” Theni is the hometown of his father, Kasturi Raja.

Soon after he shared the picture, his ‘Raayan’ co-star Kalidas Jayaram reacted, “Oh raayaaaaa❤️,” and many of his followers dropped love and respect in the comment box.

‘Raayan’ boasts an impressive ensemble cast, featuring S. J. Suryah, Prakash Raj, Selvaraghavan, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, and Saravanan, among others. The music is composed by the legendary A.R. Rahman. This project represents the director's second foray into filmmaking, following his 2017 debut with ‘Pa Paandi.’ It is set to premiere in theaters on July 26, coinciding with the birthday of Dhanush.

Dhanush is also gearing up for the release of ‘Kubera,’ directed by Sekhar Kammula. It features Nagarjuna and Rashmika Mandanna in significant roles.
