'. The film was critically well-received and Dhanush made a good impression as a director. Now, as per latest reports, Dhanush is to direct the
sequel
of 'Pa Paandi' and he is planning to cast in
Goundamani along with
Raj Kiran for the film. Goundamani was last seen on big screens in the film 'Vaaimai', which was directed by Senthil Kumar.
The story of 'Pa Paandi' revolves around an aged stuntman who travels to meet his teenage love after a fight with his family. Whether he reunites with his teenage love or his family is revealed in the plot of the film. The movie featured Raj Kiran, Revathi, Prasanna, Chaya Singh in the lead roles, while Dhanush and Madonna Sebastian played the younger version of Raj Kiran and Revathi in the film. The music composed by
Sean Roldan
for the film also made for a successful album, and the film was produced by Dhanush's Wunderbar Films.
However, Dhanush is currently busy acting in the film 'Karnan', which is directed by 'Pariyerum Perumal' fame Mari Selvaraj. The shooting of the film is underway in Tirunelveli and the movie is expected to be released in mid 2020.
