Dhanush parentage case: Madras HC adjourns hearing to April 11

Dhanush has been mired in a lot of controversies since the year began. But the major one at the moment seems to be parentage claim case, where an elderly couple has claimed that the actor is actually their son. Here is the latest development on the matter.


The case came up for hearing to Madras High Court recently and the couple requested the court to adjourn the case to some other time while they took legal advice from a senior lawyer. Justice PN Prakash, who was presiding over the hearing decided to adjourn the proceedings to April 11.

The entire case had started when Kathiresan and Meenakshi had claimed that Dhanush was their son and that he owed them maintenance charges. The actor outright denied these claims and asserted that it was a ploy to extract money from him. He had undergone a physical exam recently as per court orders in order to verify the couple’s claims of birthmarks in certain parts of his body. The report had proven the couple’s claims to be false. However, it looks like the issue is far from over at the moment.
