After Coimbatore and Madurai, Dhanush addressed the fans and media through a grand event in Trichy.Speaking at the event, Dhanush reacted to the latest controversy surrounding his family's poverty. Earlier, at the audio launch of 'Idli Kadai', Dhanush recalled his family's destitution during his childhood and shared an emotional story. But netizens trolled Dhanush for building a fake story as he is the son of a director. Dhanush has now reacted to the controversial take on his childhood and clarified at the 'Idli Kadai' Trichy pre-release event. He said that "Did u even see the speech..? I was born in 1983, and my dad became a director in 1991. So, we got a good lifestyle in 1995 only. We didn't ask for money due to that."Dhanush has also reacted to reports on the 'Idli Kadai' story, and the film is claimed to be inspired by a popular chef. He dismissed the report as 'Idli Kadai' is a story of his own, and he built it taking inspiration from his childhood. The characters in the film are those who affected him in his village during his childhood.Directed by Dhanush, 'Idli Kadai' also features Arun Vijay, Rajkiran, Nithya Menen, Shalini Pandey, Sathyaraj, and others in important roles. GV Prakash Kumar has scored the music, and the film, certified 'U'.
