Dhanush announces separation from wife Aishwaryaa

Actor Dhanush, who has been married to superstar Rajinikanth's elder daughter Aishwaryaa for 18 years, announced his separation with her on Monday. Both Dhanush and Aishwaryaa penned a long note through their social networking page sharing that they as a couple have decided to part ways.Dhanush and Aishwaryaa got married on November 18, 2004. They have two sons named Yatra and Linga, who were born in 2006 and 2010 respectively.The 'Asuran' star took to his social networking page and shared a statement read, "18 years of togetherness as friends, couple, as parents and well-wishers to each other..The journey has been of growth, understanding, adjusting and adapting...Today we stand at a place where our paths separate...Aishwaryaa and I have decided to part ways as a couple and take time to understand us as individuals for the better.""Please respect our decision and give us the needed privacy to deal with this. Om Namashivayaa. Spread Love.D", added Dhanush. Aishwaryaa also posted a similar statement with a caption, "No caption needed…only your understanding n your love necessary!" (sic)
