Filmmaker CS Amudhan and actor
Shiva are once again collaborating for ‘Tamizh Padam 2’, a sequel to the blockbuster parody film of the same name which released in 2010. According to latest reports, ‘Tamizh Padam 2’ has completed the censor board formalities and has been awarded ‘U’ certificate.
Announcing the news on Twitter, the makers released a fresh poster of ‘Tamizh Padam 2’, which has taken a dig at the Prabhas-starrer ‘
Baahubali: The Beginning’.
The poster shows Shiva holding the ‘U’ certificate just like how Prabhas carried the Shiva statue in ‘Baahubali’.
Talking about the release of the film, CS Amudhan wrote on Twitter, “The final run up to the release is an unexplainable experience. Butterflies in your stomach, adrenaline, exhaustion, ecstasy, anxiety, frustration, delight all rolled into one. It’s life lived out in 2 weeks..wouldn’t miss it for anything #TamilPadam2 #TP2.”
Previously titled ‘Tamizh Padam 2.0’, the makers, in a hilarious press release, announced that they would be changing the title to ‘Tamizh Padam 2’ as ‘zero’ has no value.
Reported to be an out-and-out satirical comedy, ‘Tamizh Padam 2’ is being produced by Y NOT Studios. The film’s teaser was unveiled recently, which has received an overwhelming response from the audience. Also starring
Disha Pandey, Iswarya Menon, Satish,
Manobala and
Santhana Bharathi, the film is slated to release this month.
