Court issues warrant against Gnanavel Raja for concealing his income

Producer Gnanavel Raja, who owns the Studio Green banner, is one of the top producers in the Kollywood. However, in a shocking development, a case has been filed against him at the Chennai Egmore court on behalf of the Income Tax Department for concealing his income. The court has ordered Gnanavel Raja to appear in court for a hearing in the case. Since Gnanvel Raja remained absent on many occasions, the Income Tax Attorney filed a petition against him.Accepting this, the Chennai Egmore court judge has issued a warrant against the film producer and postponed the hearing of the case to November 27.
Gnanavel Raja initially began his career as a distributor of films starring Suriya and Karthi. Later he started producing movies featuring Suriya and Karthi. Gnanavel Raja’s last production venture was Sivakarthikeyan starrer 'Mr Local', which was directed by M Rajesh. It failed to earn good numbers at the box office.
