The Coronavirus, which is spreading across the globe, has also affected India. Schools, colleges and theaters have been closed in many states across the country and so have the shootings of Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam and Telugu films been canceled. Now as per the latest reports according to a trade expert, this week’s

releases will be postponed and theaters will be closed due to low footfalls.

Four Tamil movies 'Pallu Padama Paathuka', 'Marijuana', 'Cocktail' and '

Kanni Rasi

' were expected to be released on March 20, this Friday. But, now some of the movies are expected to be postponed since the theaters have been facing low footfalls over the last few days. Also, some of the theaters in the Chennai and Chengalpet regions are planning to shut down due to the decrease in footfalls because of the spreading Coronavirus. Also, makers of April’s big releases like Vijay's 'Master' and Suriya's 'Soorarai Pottru' are reportedly considering postponing the release.

Meanwhile, the Tamil Nadu government has ordered the closure of all kindergarten and primary schools until March 31 as a preventive measure against Coronavirus.
