Mappillai', but she has been acting in television serials since then. However, the nationwide lockdown in India has put all shootings of films as well as television serials on hold and just like other actors, Devayani too has been spending time at home. As per a latest report, the actress has been learning
Silambam
(a weapon-based Indian martial art) with her daughters during these lockdown days.
Devayani and director Rajakumaran fell in love and both got married in the year 2001. Devayani, Rajakumaran and their two daughters Iniya and
Priyanka have been locked inside their farmhouse in Erode district since the PM of India announced the curfew. So, in order to put their time to good use, the actress has been reportedly learning Silambam with her daughters. Devayani revealed the fact in a recent interview that she gave to an online portal over the phone. She added that her daughters are already learning Bharatanatyam, but now she and her daughters are learning Silambam as well.
It is worth noting that in 2014, Devayani had joined as a teacher in a private school in Chennai, but she did not quit acting completely.
