Cinema theaters are shut since the last four months, and many new releases have been postponed. Also, the cinema shootings are on hold and producers have been facing losses as they have invested a huge amount for the film. Now, the latest buzz is that 'Cobra' producer and others meet TN Minister to resume the film shooting.

'Cobra' producer Lalit Kumar along with popular persons from the Tamil cinema industry including

Bharathi Raja

,

SA Chandrashekar

, K Rajan, TG Thyagaraja, Keyaar, Amma Creations Siva,

G Dhanajayan

, and Suresh Kamatchi met the Tamil Nadu minister

Kadambur Raju

yesterday. They then petitioned for several demands, including the opening of theaters, the removal of the 8% local entertainment tax, a reduction in ticket prices, and the need to allow cinema to start shooting. After listening to all these demands, the Minister then said that he would meet the Chief Minister and take appropriate action.

The investment of about Rs 600 crore has been reportedly stalled due to the Corona lockdown, and the resources of many producers have become questionable.
