Over the last couple of years, the United Arab Emirates has been presenting celebrities from Kollywood with Golden Visa every now and then. The golden visa is a long-term residence that allows foreigners to live and work in the UAE without the need for a national sponsor and provides full ownership of their business.
Now, the United Arab Emirates has presented the Golden Visa to actor Chiyaan Vikram. Actress Poorna aka Shamna Kasim was present along with Vikram, when he was given the Golden Visa.
Earlier in December 2021, actor-filmmaker R Parthiepan became the first Tamil actor to receive Golden Visa from the United Arab Emirates. After veteran actor Nasser, Rahman and director Venkat Prabhu recently, Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan from the Tamil film fraternity to received the Golden Visa from the United Arab Emirates earlier in July. Actress Amala Paul, Trisha and Raai Laxmi has also received the Golden Visa and were honoured by the Dubai Government earlier in January.
Meanwhile on the work front, Chiyaan was last seen in Mani Ratnam's magnum opus 'Ponniyin Selvan 1'. The star actor had recently begun shooting for his film 'Chiyaan 61' with director Pa Ranjith, which has been titled 'Thangalaan'.
