Chinmayi's new track record

Singer Chinmayi was in for a pleasant surprise when she was told that she has bagged the prestigious Nandi Award for Best Dubbing Artist (Female) for her work in Ye Maaya Chesave.
She had dubbed for Samantha in the Telugu version of Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa.
Talking to CT, Chinmayi says, ���������This is the first award I���������ve received in the dubbing artist category.And that too, for a Telugu film. I���������m happy beyond words.���������
She adds, ���������The dubbing co-ordinator for a Telugu film, for which I had dubbed earlier, called my mother to convey the news. I immediately called up Gautham Menon to thank him, and was surprised when he said he���������s gotten the Best Screenplay Award for the same. I was also told that Samantha has received the Special Jury Award. It���������s like a triple bonanza for me.���������
So, was she anticipating the award? ���������No. Not in the dubbing artist category,��������� she laughs, ���������I was trying to confirm if I heard it right. There���������s no denying that VTV and Ye Maaya... gave my career as a dubbing artist a big boost. In fact, several people have told me that my voice-overs for Trisha and Samantha were one of the highlights. I���������m glad to be associated with this film.���������
