Cheran's 'Autograph' set for re-release: Lokesh Kanagaraj, Pa Ranjith, and Tovino Thomas share film's exciting AI trailer

Director Cheran’s 'Autograph', a film that captured the essence of love, friendship, and nostalgia, is all set for a re-release, marking its 21st anniversary. Adding to the excitement, director Lokesh Kanagaraj shared a reimagined AI-generated trailer for 'Autograph' on his X (formerly Twitter) page as the classic romantic drama gears for re-release in theatres. This move has created a fresh wave of anticipation among fans, reigniting discussions about the film’s impact on Tamil cinema. With its heartfelt storytelling, soulful music, and unforgettable performances, 'Autograph' remains an emotional rollercoaster that continues to resonate with audiences even after two decades. The upcoming re-release will provide a new generation of viewers an opportunity to experience the magic of this cinematic gem on the big screen.

Apart from Lokesh, 'Thangaalan' director Pa Ranjith, and actor Prasanna also shared the trailer for 'Autograph' on social media, extending their best wishes to the director. Pa Ranjith said , "Happy to unveil the Trailer of Ever Classic, @CheranDirector's #Autograph. Congratulations! Re-releasing soon!! #21YearsOfAutograph." Malayalam actor Tovino Thomas also shared the trailer with his best wishes.

Released in 2004, 'Autograph' remains one of Tamil cinema’s most cherished films, serving as a precursor to director Premkumar’s 96, which explored similar themes of school days and first love.
