Celebrities applaud scientists at ISRO

Lander Vikram might not have set itself down the moon’s surface, but the country sure is proud of its scientists who have been working hard on Chandrayaan 2. Three minutes before the descent, the

lander

lost contact with earth. If the mission was a success, India would have been the fourth country to place a spacecraft on moon after the US, USSR and China. Here’s what the film fraternity said on the near victory.

Kamal Haasan- This does not tantamount to failure. In Research and Development there will be a learning curve. This, is that precious learning moment. We will soon be on the Moon, Thanks to #ISRO. The Nation believes and applauds ISRO.

Madhavan- More than 90% of the experiment is on the ORBITER which, gods grace , is safely in the Lunar orbit. That is still fully functional and therefore The mission still very successful. #ISRO
