Catherine Tresa in Udhayanidhi's film?

If all goes well, actress Catherine Tresa, who made her mark with Pa Ranjith's Madras, will be playing the female lead to Udhayanidhi, who has been on a signing spree of late, in one of his films. Right now, Udhay has directors Gaurav and Ezhil's films in his kitty, but he will be signing one more project this year ' a film to be directed by Thalapathy, a former assistant to Ponram.The shooting for this film will commence from September.'
A source gives us more details, 'This is a village-based comedy, and as it is a rural script, the makers had been looking for a female lead who will look good in a village belle role. Catherine's looks seemed apt, and she is almost confirmed, though she is yet to sign on the dotted lines. It will be finalised in a couple of days.'
