It was announced a while ago that
Bobby Simha would do an action-thriller under debutant
Ramanan Purushothama’s direction. With
Kashmira Pardeshi of Sivappu Manjal Pachai joining the cast, the team held the puja of the film yesterday and began shooting, too.
Giving us details about the film, he says, “It’s an action thriller that chronicles incidents that will happen in one night. Simha had seen my short films and called me.
I met him with a script and he really liked it. In fact, it was he who gave me this opportunity.”
Ramanan continues, “We were on the lookout for the lead actress. Eventually, we roped in Kashmira, who played GV Prakash’s pair in Sivappu Manjal Pachai. I can’t reveal any details about their roles now, but I can say that both the lead actors have solid scope to perform.”
Rajesh Murugesan of Premam fame will be scoring the music. “We will be shooting in Chennai, Munnar and Vagamon,” says Ramanan, who has been an independent filmmaker for a while now. “Films have always been my passion. I’ve done a couple of short films,” he says.
