Ajiths 51st film came and went. It had a massive opening but was panned extensively by critics and the audience because it lacked substance. While Ajith was his usual suave self, the lack of a proper storyline and tight script from the director Chakri Toleti, saw the movie nosedive at the box office three days post its release. Chakri Toleti and producer Sunir Kheterpal have been silent since the release of the film but now it looks like the director has broken his silence.
He tweeted, To all those who liked the film thank you & to those who didn't... Sorry to disappoint you! Especially, Thala fans.
Chakri has done only one Tamil film earlier
 Unaipol Oruvan with
Kamal Haasan. Many claimed at that time that Kamal had ghost-directed it. With a disastrous second film, there was talk that Aascar Ravichandran would be roping him in for another flick. But the producer has clearly denied this news.
Ajith has also moved on from Billa 2 to other projects like his Vishnuvardhan film with Nayanthara and his movie with
Sridevi,
English Vinglish.
