Bhumika Chawla who made her acting debut in the
Tamil
film industry in 2000 with 'Badri' is making a comeback to Kollywood after a long hiatus. Though Bhumika has acted in only a handful of films in Tamil, she is well known and has an indelible place in the minds of people.

' in Tamil and is resuming her acting journey with ‘

According to reports, Bhumika is to play a role in a different dimension when compared to her other movies. She will be the central character in the film which makes her role very important for the story to move forward. She is currently shooting her parts for ‘Kannai Namabathe’y in Chennai. Though she was not seen much in Tamil films, Bhumika recently starred in Telugu films ‘Seetimaarr’ and ‘Paagal’.
In an interview recently, Bhumika stated that she was bored of repeating similar characters in her movies over the past 20 years and is willing to take the risk of portraying a negative role and try something different. She stated that she is looking forward to playing roles of different dimensions.
