After getting accolades for his performance in Kutrame Thandanai, Vitharth will be seen next in Kurangu Bommai, a relationship drama with a thriller element that happens largely during one day, in which he shares screen space with Bharathirajaa. The film is directed by Nithilan, a title winner on the TV show, Naalaya Iyakkunar ' Season 3. The veteran director, we are told, was so impressed with this story that he even put aside his own directorial project, OM (Old Man), to be a part of this film.
'Bharathirajaa sir plays my father. I'm a taxi driver on call, while he is an accountant in a sawmill. But we shot together was just for a couple of days, as the film portrays this relationship in a realistic manner. I went to the shooting spot during the days when his scenes were being shot so that I could see him work. He pulled off a difficult 4.5-minute-long single-shot scene with ease,' says Vitharth.
The actor says that the director spoke about his journey in films during the breaks and considers these talks invaluable. 'And after watching the edited scenes, he came to my office in person and praised me saying that I've acted very naturally,' adds Vitharth, who had chosen to work with the director after seeing his short film.
