A few months ago, ace directors Bala and
Bharathirajaa
locked horns over directing a film based on Vela Rama Murthy���s novel, Kutra Parambarai. While Bharathirajaa claimed that he will direct it, Bala clarified that anybody can helm this project as the core content is rooted in history. Now, it looks like Iyakunar Imayam has put his ambitious project, Kutra Parambarai, on hold and is set to kick-start a new film featuring new faces.
A source says, ���Bharathirajaa has written a love story and he will be directing this film with newcomers, as introducing actors is not new to this veteran director. This will be a double hero subject. Director Vasanth���s son and actor Vikram���s nephew have been approached to play the leads. Once other cast members are finalised, the official announcement will be made. Since he will be starting work on this film right now, there is no talk about the former film.���
Though there are rumours that this latest film will be a sequel to Bharathirajaa���s cult film, Alaigal Oivathillai, our source clarifies that it cannot be a sequel, since this film is a two-hero project.
���It is a fresh script,��� adds the source. Meanwhile, the director has completed Om in which he is also playing the lead.
