Bharathirajaa to play Vishal's dad!

The latest addition to the cast of Suseenthiran's Paandia Naadu is Bharathirajaa. The veteran director has been roped in to play Vishal's father in the film.
A source associated with the project says, 'The film is a family entertainer set in Madurai and the father's character has a lot of importance. It has got equal weightage with that of the hero. So, Suseenthiran wanted someone who had the potential to portray an intense character.Despite scouting for several actors, none of them fit the bill. Finally, he was reminded of Bharathirajaa and approached him. The ace director gladly accepted it.'
Vishal is reportedly thrilled that the director has agreed to star in Paandia Naadu. 'I'm proud that he will be playing my dad in the movie,' he said in a statement. The film, we hear, will go on floors from May 15 and the first schedule is likely to take place in Madurai. Bharathirajaa was seen onscreen last in Rettaisuzhi.
