'Beast' movie review and box office collection: Vijay's 'Beast' hits 100 crores in a quickest time to set a record

The fans of the actor celebrate the 'Beast' movie release as a festival. Banners and cutouts of Vijay and 'Beast' poster has been erected outside theatres as well all over the state. The first show of the day was scheduled at 4 am and the fans before the show, danced and enjoyed bursting crackers welcoming the movie release. A cut out of over 50 feet was erected outside Rohini theatre in Chennai.

Earlier, the Kuwait government banned 'Beast' to release in their territory as it portrayed Muslims as terrorists and it has a few dialogues against Pakistan. Now, the Qatar government has reportedly banned the film from release in their region pointing out the same reason.The back-to-back bans for 'Beast' have disappointed the fans. Though the ban in Kuwait might not affect the film's box office to a major aspect, the ban in Qatar might affect the film's collections in the GCC region as it's the second-largest territory of the region.

'Beast’ has been released in theatres worldwide today, April 13. Fans are super excited to watch the movie on big screens and the first show is scheduled at 4 am. According to media reports, Rajalakshmi and Amirtharaj theatres which are situated in Virudhunagar have announced a new offer for the people who have purchased the ‘Beast’ FDFS ticket. Reportedly, the theatres are giving 1 litre of petrol free of cost to the people who are buying 5 tickets for the film. The first show of the film is scheduled at 4 am, but the first show in Virudhunagar is only at 7 am.

The first review of the film from a movie critic is out. The movie has already been released in UAE, though it was banned in Kuwait and Qatar.Film critic Umair Sandhu from UAE took to Instagram to share the first review of ‘Beast’. He stated that the film is a “slick action thriller.” He added that actor Vijay has done an incredibly good job and there was not even one dull moment in the scene that he appears in.Umair reportedly stated that the entire ‘Beast’ show was stollen by Vijay’s performance and added that movie keeps the audience engrossed and captivated throughout. Umair also said that the screenplay of the film is razor sharp. He concluded by saying that Vijay’s performance was shocking and clap worthy.
