Back with a bang

There���������������������������s good news for fans of Kamal Haasan who wanted to see him act with Malayalam superstar Mohanlal.
Their wish is to come true soon. On Friday, the master movie maker held a press conference to announce the status of his next Tamil film Unnaippol Oruvan, in which he will be sharing screen space with Mohanlal for the first time.
Kamal Haasan, who was visibly happy, said, ���������������������������I���������������������������m very happy to do this project with Mohanlal. It was long overdue and we have been trying to come together. I���������������������������m glad that it is happening now under my own banner.���������������������������
Mohanlal has already completed shooting portions and has only got to dub. The entire film, sources say, will be completed by May end.
Speaking on the occasion, Mohanlal said, ���������������������������It���������������������������s a great honour for me to be a part of a Kamal Haasan film. Finally, it is happening. And I feel there is some kind of a chemistry between us. The kind of passion that Kamal sir has for film making is awesome.���������������������������
Chakri Toleti, the director of the film, is from Florida Film School in the US. A personal friend of Kamal Haasan, the director has done cameo roles in Salangai Oli and Dasavatharam.
Sources say that the film, though based on the original A Wednesday, has its own point to prove. Manoj Soni is the cameraman of the film and Thotta Tharani is its art director.
Unnaippol Oruvan, which has the distinction of being shot with the Red camera in 4k resolution, will also mark Shruti Haasan���������������������������s entry into the industry as a music director.
���������������������������I���������������������������m very privileged and honoured to be a part of this project and I have to thank my dad for it,��������������������������� said Shruti Haasan, while speaking at the function.
Although the movie is all set to get over by May, fans and well wishers of the actor are hoping that the film will release on August 12, 2009 as it will mark the star���������������������������s completion of 50 splendid years in the industry.
His first film as a child artiste was Kalathoor Kannama, which was released on August 12, 1959.
