The actor, whose last on-screen foray was the superhit Vinnaithaandi Varuvaaya, is now looking at Kollywood in a bigger way with films like Ameer���������s Aadhi Bhagavan, Raghava Lawrence���������s Kanchana and Rowthiram in his kitty.

���������I was taking it easy for many years. There were few good movies made in Tamil but now, the scene is completely different,��������� states the actor from Kerala, who is busy with a few Malayalam projects as well.���������There are many sensible filmmakers in Kollywood and the newcomers also look promising.���������
Revealing details about his role in Kanchana, he says, ���������Sarath Kumar plays a transgender in the film. When his parents kick him out of the house, my character called Bai, a drunk butcher, gives him shelter and parent him along with his own son.��������� After his first Tamil venture Poovozhivassalile, Babu was flooded with offers, but he selected his projects carefully. The film was made in Malayalam, Hindi, Telugu and Kannada as well and Babu played the same role in all four languages.
