Awards add responsibilities on my shoulder: Vairamuthu

This is the seventh National Award for the ace lyricist. After bagging National Awards for Best Lyrics for Mudhal Mariyathai, Roja, Karuththamma, Sangamam, Kannathil Muthamittal and Thenmerku Paruvakatru, he has been conferred the seventh national award for the song, Endha Pakkam from Dharmadurai.
The ace lyricist says, “If I bag an award, happiness is just for a day.It actually adds responsibility on my shoulder. We can entertain people via art, at the same time, we can also educate them. Educating people through art is easier. When I write a song, I always feel the responsibility to educate people. This particular song, Endha Pakkam, which is relevant to the current situation, is one such song. This song is about like a girl who comforts a guy, who was depressed due to love failure. Endha Pakkam Kaanumbọthu Vaanam Onru, Nee Endha Paadhai Yegumbọthum Oorgal Undu!
