Bollywood actess Vidya Balan had essayed a role inspired from the life of south siren Silk Smitha in 'The Dirty Picture', which hit the screen in 2011. Now, the Tamil film industry is set to have its own biopic of the most popular South Indian actress noted for her erotic roles. Titled '
Gayathri Films’ Chithra Lakshmanan and Murali Cine Arts H Murali are planning to do a biopic on late actress Silk Smitha. The shooting of the biopic is planned to kick start in November.
Director Manikandan says the reason for Silk's success can be attributed to her eyes which told so many tales. "Her hotness quotient too has been unmatched till date. And to play her character, we are trying to get the right person who can do justice to the role,"
says Manikandan.
'Aval Appadithan' will have interesting and in-depth details of the actress's life which saw various twists and turns.
