Atlee to team up with Vijay Sethupathi for his next

Tamil director Atlee is known for his knack for executing a story in the most ‘Massy’ way, and a recent example is the SRK starrer ‘Jawan’. Now the ‘Theri’ director has confirmed that he will be bankrolling an upcoming film with Vijay Sethupathi.

During the promotional event for his upcoming Bollywood film ‘Baby John’, Atlee revealed that a surprise is waiting for the fans, and also revealed that he will be joining Vijay Sethupathi for an upcoming film that has been under discussion for over 2 years.





Atlee said during the press meet that he will be the producer for the Vijay Sethupathi starrer which will be directed by Balaji Tharaneetharan who is best known for the film ‘Naduvula Konjam Pakkatha Kaanom’. Vijay Sethupathi will be playing the lead character in this untitled project.


Coming to another surprise that the ‘Bigil’ director has kept under wraps for fans, Atlee said that this surprise film took a long time and the film’s script was completed now. Atlee also said that the film would be a big celebration and the fans can expect a magnificent casting for this untitled film.


Meanwhile, Atlee is all set for his second project in Hindi - ‘Baby John’, and this time as a producer. The Varun Dhawan - Keerthy Suresh starrer is an official remake of Atlee and Vijay’s blockbuster film ‘Theri’ and the expectations are quite high.


Directed by Khalees, ‘Baby John’ marks the Bollywood debut of the actress Keerthy Suresh. Actress Wamiqa Gabbi will be also playing a pivotal character in the film, along with Jackie Shroff and Zara Zyanna. The movie has Thaman S as the music composer and is all set to grace the big screens on December 25.
