Says Ravindra, “He has done a cop role before, but that one was more heroic. This follows the life of a normal guy, who is happy in his space. But certain incidents force him to become a constable. There is nothing heroic about him. It is more like survival for him.”

The team is finalising the rest of the cast and crew. “We will begin shoot by the end of this month or early next month. Most of the film will be shot in Chennai. For one portion, though, we will shoot in south Tamil Nadu,” says Ravindra.

Ravindran worked as an assistant director in

Pattathu Yaanai

and as an associate director in Jeeva. “I am from Andhra Pradesh. But I did my MBA here. I always wanted to do filmmaking and entered this field. I took up a course in script writing and things began to fall in place. I’ve also worked in Mahesh Babu’s Srimanthudu and written dialogues for Anushka’s Bhaagamathie,” he says and signs off.
