Barnesh, a former associate of Pa Ranjith, has wrapped up the shoot of his debut film, a campus-based action entertainer, Othaiku Ottha, starring
Atharvaa
and Sri Divya. “The film is set in the mid-2000s, and is inspired by a real-life incident. Atharvaa lost weight to play the role of a college student,” informs the director and adds, “It is a commercial entertainer that will take audiences back to their college days. There is also a beautiful romance.”
The film has been in production for quite some time, and the director explains that this was necessitated by the nature of the script. “We had to shoot specific scenes only during specific times, so we ended up shooting all through 2017,” he says. Justin Prabhakaran has scored the music for this film, while Visaaranai fame S Ramalingam has handled the cinematography.
