Post the acclaimed Farhana, Nelson Venkatesan is all set to begin the shoot of his next, a crime action drama titled DNA, which will feature Atharvaa and Nimisha Sajayan in the lead roles. The film's puja happened in Chennai yesterday.
Revealing details about the project, Nelson says, "This is a genre which I haven't dealt with before. Both Atharvaa and Nimisha are powerful performers, and that's why I've chosen them for the lead roles. In fact, I love Atharvaa's screen presence and his eyes, which are quite expressive."
"Atharvaa will be sporting a new look in the film, which will be one of the film's surprises," reveals the filmmaker and adds, "His character is a bit unconventional and will be something that we haven't witnessed in our films before."
Nelson also informs us that director Balaji Shakthivel will be seen playing a crucial role in this project. "Ramesh Thilak will also be a part of this film. I am reuniting with him again after Oru Naal Koothu," he adds.
Despite being a crime action drama, the director says that there will be a lot of entertaining elements in the film. "From action to humour to music, there will be many ingredients for the audience to like this film, which will majorly be shot in and around Chennai."
