Atharvaa
Murali and
Rajkiran are all set to come together for a family entertainer directed by
A Sarkunam
. The film will be on the lines of Kadaikutty Singam and Viswasam, says the director. “The plot is set against the backdrop of green-caped betel farms near Thiruvaiyaru. Rajkiran plays Atharvaa’s grandfather in the film. While Atharvaa will sport a new look, Rajkiran will have three different looks,” says Sarkunam.
Radikaa Sarathkumar will be seen in an important role, along with actors RK Suresh, Jayaprakash, Singam Puli, Kannada actor Ravi Khale, Sathru of Kadaikutty Singam fame, Bala Saravanan and GM Kumar. “Not many films have had betel farm as the backdrop. Betel leaf has a great significance in our culture. We have touched upon the same and will be shooting the film in a betel farm as well, near river Cauvery, in and around Thiruvaiyaru,” says Sarkunam, whose film will be bankrolled by Subaskaran Allirajah and GKM Tamilkumaran.
The shoot will commence on August 4 and the portions will be shot in a single stretch. While the lead actress is still being finalised,
Ghibran
will be scoring the music. “What’s interesting is that we are planning to do live recording of grammiya paadalgal rendered by villagers. We will be using some of these as re-recording in the film. Apart from this, there will be six songs, penned by Viveka and Mani Amudhavan,” he informs. Ustaad Hotel fame Lokanathan will handle the cinematography.
