Ashok Selvan-starrer 'Por Thozhil' directed by debutant Vignesh Raja, which hit the screens on June 9, 2023, received amazing response from the audience and critics. The film stars Ashok Selvan, Sarath Kumar and Nikhila Vimal in lead roles. Now, the film is all set for it's OTT premiere from August 4 on the popular OTT platform Sony Liv.
The intense crime thriller is about a senior cop and his trainee, who investigate a series of murder cases, and realise all of them are interlinked and that a psychopath is on the run. The trailer of the film revealed that both Ashok Selvan and Sarath Kumar playing police officers on the hunt for a serial killer, who is on a spree killing women.
Por Thozhil, like most investigative thrillers, opens with a mysterious murder case that puts the police officials on their toes. What makes Por Thozhil an interesting watch is its effective screenplay and inventive writing. But how the investigation unfolds is quite unusual and interesting, as it doesn't play the usual whodunit game.
