Ashok Selvan, who impressed Kollywood movie buffs with his performance in ‘Oh My Kadavule’ last year, has a couple of new projects in the making. Today, he has posted a video of himself playing parai in between shots. Parai is a percussion instrument that’s been in use for a long time and is still used predominantly in folk art forms. The actor is seen thoroughly enjoying playing some interesting rhythmic patterns on parai.

While sharing the video, he writes, “Between the shots at shooting, found this lying in a corner.. the excitement and happiness #Parai brings is unexplainable. playing after so long, lost touch.. so adhunaala kindly Ignore my mistakes asaan @vishwa_n_bharath 😜🙏🏽 (sic).”

On the work front, the actor is making his Malayalam debut with ‘Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham’, which has Mohanlal playing the titular role. It is said to be a historical war film co-written and directed by Priyadarshan. That apart, the actor will also be making Telugu debut with the film titled ‘Ninnila Ninnila’, which also stars Nithya Menen and Ritu Varma. His film, ‘Oh My Kadavule’ has been a big hit and has gone places, getting screened at various prestigious film festivals. The film is now being remade in Telugu with Vishwak Sen in the lead.
