Ashok Selvan and Avantika Mishra will be headlining debutant director Balaji Kesavan’s romcom titled Emakku Thozhil Romance. The film also features Urvashi as the mother of Ashok’s character.
Talking about the film and its title, director Balaji Kesavan tells us, “It’s a story that has been written to entertain the audience. There’s a line attributed to Bharathiyar that goes Emakku Thozhil Kavithai. For our film’s title, we have given a fun spin to this line by replacing kavithai to romance in our title.”
The director says, “Ashok plays an assistant director named Uma Shankar aka Uma and Avantika plays a nurse named Leona Joseph aka Leo. The film will revolve around their love story and the conflicts that they face along the way.”›About casting Ashok Selvan,the director says, “We wanted to cast a known face as the lead, someone who seems loveable and pleasant.”
Nivas K Prasanna has composed music for the film. Ganesh Chandra and Jerome Allen have handled the cinematography and editing for the film respectively.
