Her Kollywood debut, Kolaikaran with Vijay Antony, is yet to hit screens, but
Ashima Narwal has already signed her next here. The actress, who is quite busy juggling a career in Tollywood as well, will be paired opposite
Arav in Raja Bheema.
“The makers of the film saw my profile and got in touch with me through email. I then met the director (
Naresh Sampath) for a brief chat. He gave me the outline of the story and briefed me about my character.
I really liked my characterisation and was only too excited to be part of the film,” begins Ashima, and goes on to add, “For me, the story decides if I do a film or not. In this case, I loved the story, and even when Naresh gave me the narration, I could sense that there was depth to the script, and it will not be one of those fluffy movies.”
So, has she met Arav yet? “Actually, not really. After I was told that Arav was the hero, I did some research on him. He’s become everybody’s favourite after Bigg Boss,” she says with a smile. Interestingly, the film features an elephant in a prominent role. “It’s going to be a new experience for me, working closely with an elephant. I’m looking forward to the shoot,” she signs off.
