Arya’s film with Shakti Soundar Rajan is an action entertainer

In a chat with us earlier, Arya had confirmed that he’d be teaming up with directors Shakti Soundar Rajan and Santhakumar again for another project, apart from doing a film with Nalan Kumarasamy. When asked whose movie he’d start shooting for first, the actor had said on a lighter note, “Whoever is ready first!” Now, looks like Shakti’s film will be the first among the lot to go on floors, as we hear the filmmaker is giving final touches to the script and is looking at starting shoot in the next couple of months.
“The writing is in its final stages and Shakti and Arya have decided to go on floors within the next three months,” says a source in the know, adding, “There has been a lot of talk about the film being a sequel to their Teddy, but it’s a completely fresh script.It will be a high-octane action-thriller and will showcase Arya in a totally new light.” Interestingly, after Sibi Sathyaraj (Naanayam and Naaigal Jaakirathai) and Jayam Ravi (Miruthan and Tik Tik Tik), Shakti will be working with Arya, too, in two films back-to-back. “The two shared great chemistry while working in their previous outing, and even before finishing its shoot, had decided to do another film. Things were firmed up officially a few months ago.”
