It was announced a few months ago that
Arvind Swami and
Regina Cassandra are teaming up for a project under the direction of Achamindri fame Rajpandi. Titled
Kallapart
, the movie, according to the makers, has Arvind playing a hardware engineer and Regina in the role of a dance teacher.
The film is expected to release in April and joins the list of several other movies which is eyeing a release in the same month. Arvind Krishna cranks camera for the project which has Nivas K Prasanna scoring music.
Billed as an action thriller, the shooting of the movie, of which 70 percent is set in Chennai, is currently happening at a brisk pace. The project had kicked off with a puja at a grand set erected in AVM Studios in October. Earlier, the director had said that the crew wanted to come up with a Tamil name for the film, though most of the names they had in mind were English words. Finally, they zeroed in on ‘Kallapart’.
Papri Ghosh, Harish Peradi, Baby Monika are others who essay crucial roles in the film. S Ilayaraja handles the editing while Miracle Micheal is the action choreographer. RK has written dialogues for the film which has screenplay by Rajpandi himself.
