Arun Vijay was last seen in his recently released film ‘Yaanai’. The actor is now making his digital debut with the upcoming Tamil web series titled ‘Tamil Rockerz’. The teaser of the web series was released on July 3. As the name of the series suggests, it is about the website that releases the pirated version of Tamil movies.
The series is based on the real-life situation of the website that releases movies on the internet as soon as it makes it to the theatres.The series speaks about the hardships the producer council goes through when their movie is pirated and Arun Vijay plays a lead role as a cop who tries to track and focus on catching the culprit who is in charge of releasing the pirated copies of movies. The teaser shows a glimpse of how actors are given hero-worship in Tamil Nadu and how the pirated copies of a newly released film affect the business and livelihood of the film industry workers. It also shows how the act is fraudulent and how the movie premieres worldwide on the internet using piracy even before releasing in theatres.
The series also features Vani Bhojan, Iswarya Menon, Azhagam Perumal, Vinodhini among others. The web series ‘Tamil Rockerz’ is directed by Arivazhagan who has directed the feature films ‘Eeram’ and ‘Kuttram 23’ which were successful hits. The series is now in its final stage of post-production and will soon be released on OTT.
