According to filmmaker Murad Khetani, who has acquired the remake rights of the film, the project goes on the floors later this year. The team is currently looking for a director before approaching actors.
Khetani confirmed the news, saying, “We had been hearing positive reviews about the film, so we asked for a screening from the Tamil producers. We liked it and immediately bought the rights for the Hindi version. There are a couple of directors and actors interested in this film. The original was set in Chennai, but we will be changing the setting to someplace in the North. The story, however, remains the same.”
'Thadam' , directed by Magizh Thirumeni, has Arun Vijay in a double role of Ezhil and Kavin. The former is in the construction business while the latter is a thief and a gambler.
