Arulnithi had teamed up with debutant director
Innasi Pandiyan for an investigation thriller titled '
Diary
'. Arulnithi is playing a cop in the film which has Pavithra, a doctor from Singapore, playing the female lead. Now, the makers have announced that the film hit the screens on August 11, 2022.
The film has Shah Ra, Aadukalam Kishore and Jayaprakash have integral roles, too. The story is based on a few true incidents and has been shot in Chennai, Coimbatore, Coonoor and Ooty.
Apparently, Arulnithi had lost 20 kilos to fit into his character. Innasi has previously assisted director Ajay Gnanamuthu, who incidentally, also made his debut with an Arulnithi-starrer (Demonte Colony). While the film has music by Ron Ethan Yohann (Maya, Game Over), the cinematography has been handled by Aravinnd Singh and editing by Raja Sethupathy.
