It is known that 'Rasavathi' starring Arjun Das and Tanya Ravichandran in the lead roles is gearing up for release on May 10, 2024. With the film's release around the corner, the film has been cleared by the Censor Board with an U/A certificate.
Directed by Santhakumar of 'Mouna Guru' and 'Magamuni' fame, Rasavathi is a story through the past and present, with a present timeline set in Kodaikanal. Focusing on relationships, the film goes through various emotions of love, anger, revenge, and loss. Malayalam actor Sujith Shanker (of Maheshinte Prathikaaram fame) plays the antagonist. The film also had GM Sundar, Sujatha, Ramya Subramaniyan, Reshma Venkatesh, Rishikanth, Arul Jothi, and Deepa in supporting roles.
The story revolves around three time periods in the life of the lead character, played by Arjun Das and there is blend of romance, action and crime. The film is set across the landscapes of Kodaikanal, Madurai, Kadalur, and Palani.
