AR Rahman says he respects Rajinikanth's political stance

Music composer AR Rahman in a recent interaction with the media heaped praise on Rajinikanth's spirituality and his political stance. The music director opened up, reportedly stating that the actor's beliefs propagate religious harmony. He added that the 'Lal Salaam' audio launch faced a lot of criticism and netizens accused Rajinikanth of being too religious.
The Oscar Award winner said that he views Rajinikanth as an ultimate style icon who has broken many barriers. He mentioned that Rajinikanth has a specialty to draw the line between spiritual and cinematic life. He can be the voice of religious harmony and so many social issues.
Rajinikanth recently faced a lot of criticism for attending the Ayodhya Ram mandir inauguration. Speaking at the audio launch of 'Lal Salaam', Aishwaryaa Rajinikanth said that her father is not a Sanghi and then the actor speaking to the media said that his daughter did not say that Sanghi is a bad word.
On the work front, Rajinikanth will be seen on the big screens with 'Lal Salaam' as he plays an important cameo role in the political sports drama. Rajinikanth is currently shooting for his 170th film with director TJ Gnanavel. Titled 'Vettaiyan', the movie stars Rajinikanth, Amitabh Bachchan, Rana Daggubati, Fahadh Faasil, Ritika Singh, Dushara Vijayan and Manju Warrier in lead roles. The film's music is composed by Anirudh Ravichander.
Following this, the actor has his next 'Thalaiavar 171' signed with director Lokesh Kanagaraj which is expected to start its pre-production in March.
