The film’s director, Hemant Madhukar, tells us that the actress spent six months prepping for this role. “Anushka learnt painting and sign language to play this character. We had artists and sign language instructors teaching her the nuances. She used to practise both every day,” says Hemant, clearly in awe of the dedication of his leading lady. The actress will also be performing a few stunts in this film, which will be a thriller.

The film will see Anushka pairing up with

Madhavan

, who was her co-star in her debut Tamil film, Rendu, for the second time. Talking about this jodi coming back together, Hemant says, “They are fantastic actors and look cute together on screen.”

The director reveals that the film’s entire shoot has been wrapped up, and the post-production is going on. “The film is a thriller that takes place entirely in the US. We will be letting out the look of the other characters, played by Anjali, Shalini Pandey and Hollywood actor Michael Madsen, one by one,” he signs off.
