Anirudh to do a cameo in Aakko

The posters of the newly announced film Aakko, directed by Shyam Kumar, feature Anirudh, which has created a buzz that the composer is making his acting debut in the film. However, that is only partially right. While we can confirm that Anirudh is indeed acting in the film, it will only be in a cameo role and not as the lead, even though the makers had originally approached the composer to play the lead.
Says a source, ���Actually, director Shyam approached Anirudh to cast him in the lead role. He also listened to the script and liked it, but as he has no plans to act in films for now, Anirudh politely said ���no��� to the offer. But, as he was impressed with the story, he voluntarily came forward to score the music for the film.���
Director Shyam confirms that Anirudh will appear in an interesting cameo in the film and adds, ���We are also planning a promotional song for the film, which will feature him.��� He says that the title Aakko actually means ���AarvaKolaaru���. ���Aakkois a local slang in certain parts of the city like Royapuram, and is used to refer extremely curious and over enthusiastic youngsters. As the film is about three enthusiastic youngsters, we felt this title will be very apt.��� We hear that the three major characters will now be played by Geethan Britto, Arjun and Swaminathan.
