We’d earlier reported that
Jai will be playing a superhero in a film titled
Breaking News
, directed by
Andrew Pandian
. The film, which had gone on floors a few months ago, is progressing in a brisk pace, and the team has kickstarted the second schedule recently.
Andre, who worked as a VFX supervisor on films like Mudhalvan, Anniyan and Sivaji and says, “The film is an action entertainer at its heart, and has Jai playing a superhero. It’s being made on a lavish budget and producer Thirukadal Udhayam, has left no stone unturned to ensure the film comes out well. Since action is an important feature of the film, we’ve used the latest technology, like robotronics and animatronics, to conceptualise and choreograph the stunt sequences. The film will be big on CG and we are shooting against green and blue matte screens.”
While Bhanu plays the female lead, Dev Gill and Rahul Dev play the antagonists in the film.
