Anee Master extends support to Jani Master amid POCSO charges: 'The same victim spoke highly of Jani master earlier'

Choreographer and former Bigg Boss contestant Anee Master has extended her support to her fellow choreographer Jani Master, who is facing a POCSO case and is currently in police custody. In a press meet held in Hyderabad, Anee publicly supported Jani Master, and also expressed her concern about the revoking of the National award.

Anee Master expressed that Jani should face the consequences if he is guilty, however, she also added that the accusations against him are ‘unsettling’. She also stated that she has worked with him for two years, but his conduct has always been professional.

“The situation is very complex and since the case is in the court, I cannot talk much. But, I would like to highlight that the same victim spoke highly of Jani master earlier and accused him now. I am confused at it. As a female choreographer in the industry, I have never faced a casting couch situation, and the accusations against Janu are unsettling,” she said.

Anee Master further stated that the denial of the union card requested by Jani’s wife for the victim, was based on union regulations and not linked to Jani’s role as President of the Association. “It cannot be linked to Jani Master being the President of the association, and there are rules as to who should be given a card,” Anee said.

The members of the union also defended Jani Master’s character and contributions to the industry, and they expressed their concern over the revoking of Jani’s National award.



Jani Master was arrested in Goa earlier this month on charges related to the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. Following this, the National Film Awards Cell of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting revoked his national award.
