After the blockbuster 'Master' in 2021, actor Vijay and director Lokesh Kanagaraj are to reunite for the second time for their next film, which has been tentatively titled 'Thalapathy 67'. Several reports about the film have been coming in regularly, and fans have been waiting eagerly for the film to be launched officially. Now, Lokesh Kanagaraj has confirmed that the 'Thalapathy 67' updates will arrive in December. In the latest media interaction, Lokesh Kanagaraj has explained that 'Thalapathy 67' update has been delayed to be launched because Vijay's 'Varisu' promotions didn't take off, and there have been no regular updates about the film. So, the director feels it won't be good if 'Thalapathy 67' overtakes 'Varisu'. However, he has confirmed that the update will arrive in December for sure.

From the director's latest statement it looks like 'Thalapathy 67' will be launched officially in December, and the shooting will kick start after the announcement. 'Thalapathy 67' is reported to be an action drama, and the film will have stars across industries as the film is planned to be a Pan-Indian drama.

Trisha is said to be playing the female lead, and the actress will be pairing up with Vijay after a gap of 14 years. Sanjay Dutt, Prithviraj, and Gautham Menon are also said to be part of the film, while director-actor Mysskin is the latest addition to the cast.

Meanwhile, Vijay has wrapped up the shooting of 'Varisu', which is slated to hit the big screens for Pongal 2023 and is off to Dubai for a vacation.
