, has been creating a buzz, thanks to its screening at a few film festivals. The film, Arun tells us, revolves around a girl, Aruvi, who doesn’t differentiate people as good and bad and showers her love on everyone. “Her adventures and misadventures are what the plot is all about. Though it is a socio-political drama,

is a truly mixed-genre film because it also has comedy and songs, and is made for the mainstream audience,” he says.

The director reveals that they spent eight months casting the film. And for the lead role, they auditioned 600 people and finally zeroed in on Aditi Balan. “Aditi is a advocate. We did a screen test and shot for a day with her and a few people who had made it to our final list before roping her in,” says Arun.

Lakshmi Gopalswami, who has done Malayalam and

Kannada

films, is the only cast member with acting experience, he adds.
