Vijay Sri G, the director of the upcoming film
Dhadha 87
, has now cast
Amsun
(formerly known as
Hamsavardhan
), son of late actor
Ravichandran, to play the lead in his next. The film will be set against the backdrop of college campuses. “It will be a comedy film that revolves around the college culture of super seniors. The one line of the plot is about a guy who takes on the mighty even though he isn’t really capable of winning in the battle. I am in talks with a bunch of leading comedians to play the supporting roles. A Malayalam actor might also be a part of it,” says the director.
On casting Amsun, he says, “I was actually planning on taking up another project, titled Brain, but the actor I approached wasn’t free until February. During this time, Amsun approached me after seeing the teaser of Dhadha 87, and asked if I could do a film with him. Since the storyline could suit anyone, I decided to make this script with him.” The director informs that he will be revealing the title of the film on October 18, and that the team is planning to start the shoot on October 24.
