, starring Senguttuvan and Ammu Abhirami in the lead. “It’s a cop entertainer and we shot major portions of the film in Chennai. Though it’s a cop story, it is not a very grim one. In fact, we recently shot a melody in Kulu Manali with the lead cast,” says the director.

The song Nodikkul Manam Engo Pogirathey, composed by Sidharth Vipin, has been penned by Nellai Jayantha. “It’s a situational song — the heroine professes her love to the hero, but he is preoccupied with a crime that has happened in the city and refuses to acknowledge her. We roped in GV Prakash and Sakthishree Gopalan to render this number and it has come out beautifully,” says the director, adding, “We wanted icescape for the song and headed to Kulu Manali in January. There was snowfall and the entire place looked so white! We shot the number in the interiors, where no other

has been shot. It took us almost two hours to reach the location, and we had to be extra careful while driving because we could only see the road ahead of us and we were surrounded by snow-capped mountains. We would leave our hotel at 5am and can our first shot at 7am. The sun would set by 4pm and the temperature would start dropping; there were days when it would drop to as low as -9°C. We shot for five days in all. Dileep master has done the choreography and KG Venkatesh has handled the cinematography.”

Manibharathi is presently working on the post-production.
